Have you listened to the new album? Do you have thoughts? My oldest, upon listening to a few tracks, said, “A lot of her songs sound the same,” and I don’t disagree. But I still find myself humming along to “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me,” “Florida,” “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart,” “So Long London,” and “Down Bad.”
I’m so interested in the criticism that emphasizes the messiness of the album (too long, needs editing, she apparently is big enough to give very few fucks); the psychology of fandom; a feud that’s apparently still thriving??; and the lore of it all.
What do you think? Feelings? Thoughts? Is anyone else shocked to be devoting so much brain space (by which I mean any at all) to Matty Healy?!
