Global Liquidity Watch: Weekly Update

Global Liquidity rose to US$172.4tr last week. Admittedly liquidity growth is gaining momentum, but it is still off the pace recorded at the start of the year. Last week a combination of rising Central Bank liquidity, improved collateral values and falling bond market volatility helped to nudge liquidity higher. That said, Central Bank liquidity growth remains below par and therefore the gains are largely driven by the private sector and a stronger collateral multiplier.
